View Full Version : 64bit mental ray for maya

i'm still using maya 6.5 [groan] and before upgrading to 8 it would be great to get feedback on 64bit mental ray for maya, esp stability and how it handles large scenes compared to the 32bit version. i've found with mr3.4 i'm limited to a few hundred thousand polys with final gather, before internal exceptions will kill any render. this is on windowsXP, with 4GB ram with the 3GB boot.ini switch set.

i'd be keen to hear any reports of how people are finding it, bugs etc :)
