Title: Triumphant barbarian
Name: Thomas Tsigaridas
Country: Norway
Software: Photoshop
I'm always fascinated by the cheesy barbarian characters of artists like Frazetta and Vallejo, and this is one of my own versions :) Made in Photoshop from scratch over four short evenings with a Wacom tablet, no refs. All comments and crits welcomed.

i know what you mean about guys like vallejo, i always want to do fantasy stuff when i see theirs! i really like the colours you used, and the figure looks great, but you should try and make him and the ground he's standing on stand out from the background a little bit more, right now the image seems really flat. also the highlights on the helmet are really good, but you should continue some of those onto the torso, just to help it pop a little more.
Thanks for the nice comments, man! I'll try to remember your tips about making the foreground stand out next time. Cheers! :)

fine painting:thumbsup: but needs more detailing. Also the barbarian looks so...clean.Lots of dirt and blood would make him more barbarian.
The overall pose of the figure reminds me vallejo a lot.But too a lot.You can create your own style in making poses.Overall nice painting:thumbsup:
Velarion: Thanks a lot for inspiring feedback :) I guess some grittyness would add to his character, so I'll keep that in mind for later.
*Too* Vallejo?? Wow, that's almost a compliment, but I see you point ;) The working title for this was "Conan cliché", so I guess I had it coming :) Thanks again for your constructive comments!
