Here is my poly girl. She is my first poly attempt. But coming from Nurbs Patch Modeling, Poly seems to be much more simple. I need some help, I need Crits, and How to incorprate the ear into the model. i have a hard time modeling the ear. Thanks Guys.

P.S. This is my first post on cgalk, so easy on me. Im not as professional as most of you guys.

hey man thats looking much better than the one Isaw a while back, your coming along nicely.

I would work on the forhead and the cheeks to make them more natural, right now they flow a little strangly, almost oppostie. The forhead should go up, not bulge as it does, and the cheek should come out more...kkeep going man!:)

I think you need to think about what points you are pulling out, tho technically i tmatches up, you need to change the brow where it comes around the eyes (temple area) right now it is almost caveman like...

I would pull those out...checkout some 3/4 view shots of girls and see how real anatomy runs in that area, and the cheeks, tho this is obviouslynot a character based in realism, it will still follow those rules...

I would also angle the eyes different and add more detail.

A 2d sketch is only step 1, not you gotta move it into the thrid dimension some more.. the rules change a bit

Here is an update. Added some 3d to the 3/4 angle. Mainly her cheeks. What ya think?

like king is saying NOW you need to focus on details and depth the almighty third dimension. where you see her jawline in more detail where you see her brows and her eyes are tighter into the nose area and the cheeks run off the jawline and when shes angry or happy he features change and become more visible and reflective on the skin. Think abotu facial detail and depth and pull them verts baby!

Hiya!

Great looking model so far....I do have a couple of tweaks to mention, however. First off, the nostril wings could be a bit more defined; I know they're difficult to do but IMHO, they'll look better if they were a bit more um...whats the word I'm looking for....wide? I think you also need a bit of work on the eyelids too to conform more to the eyeball. This will kill you later when you find that there are gaps between the rim of the eye and the eyeball. Best way of checking the model is to look at real pics of people at the various angles and comparing and contrasting.

Looking good so far though! Should look great with a texture

cool man. I would work a little more on the breast and feet for sure,

breasts look a bit saggy right now...maybe a size smaller would fit her better.

the feet, as i said before look liek the angle the wrong way :)

good update man, good luck on the ears and hands to! they are tricky!:wip:
