CGTalk - Modern Day Alien

This bizarre image emerged from my uninspired scribblings in painter, which I thought I'd attempt to paint. Unlike everything I've done in the past that has all been from reference and aimed at being realistic, I decided to paint this with much more of a painterly style, obviously without any reference. I kind of consider this to be finished, but I'm always willing to make minor changes if anybody can give me suggestions on what I should change. Just thought I'd put it here as I doubted very much it would make it to the showcase gallery. Thanks for looking, I'd very much appreciate your feedback!

Hehe! I like it...I'd only get rid of the small white artifacts around the edges and call it done. :D

Thanks! I'm glad you like it. Not sure what you meant about the white artifacts, but I decided to redo the background a bit and make it a very dark green rather than the light colour. I feel this makes it seem as though the alien is stood in a kind of green mist that is illuminated around him.

Ooh, it looks much better with the modified background. By the white artifacts, I think he meant the small bits of white around many parts of his body. There are dots in the black area and by his foot, and there are white "lines" around his body in many areas (right arm, legs, torso, head).
