View Full Version : AE not liking PS vector smart layers?

So I throw in a Photoshop PSD with some vector Smart layers and they get rasterised :scream:

Does Afeter Effects not like Vector Smart layers in Photoshop enough to keep them as Vectors?

Any experience on this matter would be greatly appreciated! :thumbsup:

PS Using AE 7 and PS CS2.

No, it doesn't like it, as you put it, this is simply not supported. AE only uses the rasterized pixel layer that is stored in the PSD for compatibility and preview reasons. A look in the manual or the Adobe knowledge base could have told you that. If you need vector art
and don't want to loose quality, import separate Illustrator files or whatever and use continuously rasterize on them.
