View Full Version : need some help about FRfastskin in final render

hi ,
i would be really glad and thankfull if any one , could eventually tell me how to use the frfastskin shader
a small '' how to'' would be warmly welcome

in the mean time i continue to play with teh dirt shader :-)

c'mon mate look past yer nose eh? the MISSS shader for maya is discussed at length on this thread. For a quick setup check out page3 of this thread below - josvex details how to set up the MISSS shader.
the same also works for the misss_fast_skin shader too

Uhh, he's asking about the FINAL RENDER skin shader, not the mental ray one. So I guess that thread won't help him much.

yes i am asking for final render for maya :-)

got some help , over at teh cebas forum , did some test , still not 100 % happy , but it's going in the right direction

did a couple of test this evening , it's kind of weirde , i manage to grasp, understand and apreciate most of teh aspect of final render for maya , but somehow the SSS is teh area that is still killing me ..

thx to michael from cebas , i was able to use teh shader with a decent result , but i was not able to get a glowing light ( point light ) into is belly to be seen trough the skin , or neither wa i able to get a skeleton object ( cylinder ) to show trough the skin

grab it if you feel like playing with my rabit :-)
