Learning Silo right now at work so I figured this would be a good challenge to start using the program on. :D This is about 5 hours of work. Gonna fix the slight pinch on the back of it's tail later on.

Well, I decided to crank this one out since I'm guessing there is going to be some crunch time at work soon so I won't be able to work as much. Anyway, this was modeled in about 4 hours, although I was being a little lazy on it. Decided to make the paper from a spiral notebook page to make it more interesting/detailed. Also worth mentioning that I used a little bit of modo on this one. Now it is time to meet the biggest deadline of them all.....sleep.

Hey, the paper boat looks awesome man. I like the spiral touch. I just have got to learn how to do boolean stuff proficiently. Looks sweet. Maybe I'll have to examine it more closely but are there spiral-holes on the outside of the model? Because sticking them on the inside won't do you much good.

Thanks for the comments! hrmmm, I don't think I quite understand your question regarding the spiral-holes not being on the outside of the model though. For my reference I just made a paperboat and modeled it and none of the spiral holes appeared on the outside of the model. I could be misunderstanding your question though.

best paperboat EVER done in CG :bounce:

Alright, this one was hard to work on mainly because of time but I pushed it through. Came along nicely I think although there are parts that I want to touch up (mainly the face) maybe if I have time I can add mroe detail/fix stuff before the contest is over. time to take a break from all of this soft modeling and work on some weapons! Sword, here I come!. Will keep you guys posted. Shouldn't take long to pump a cool sword out. I spent around 10-11 hrs on this over the course of a few days. That estimate does not count around three hrs of work I lost when some of my files got corrupted.
Thanks for the comments guys! I plan on adding more detail to the snail before the contest is over so it should hopefully look pretty detailed by the time the deadline sneaks up.
WOW! crab is amazing. The bottom is outstanding for a speed model.
