AlexandroCastro 01-25-2003, 01:26 PM I´m working hard on my first 3d short movie (with my friend Eric Quezado), called "O Uirapuru". This is a screenshot of the Scene-1, inside the Amazon Forest.

Para os brazucas: Estou trabalhando duro no meu primeiro curta em 3d, chamado "O Uirapurú" (em parceria com meu amigo Eric Quezado). Esta é o primeiro cenário, cena 1, dentro da floresta amazônica (próximo a Manaus),
PS: Prometo não mostrar mais nada até concluir o projeto, pra não tirar a graça da surpresa.

What software are you using??? Maya??? And Paint Effects for the threes???

Thanks man... Just using 3dsmax for everything but lightning. The volume light was created in After Effects.
Simple like this, but great result.

How come there are so many 3D artists (especially seems to be an inordinate amount of fantastic ones too) from Brazil? Any idea? Not like it's some sort of bad thing, but it just strikes me as wierd!
The image looks awesome, it'll be cool to see some more of the piece as it gets more done!
It looks great. Do you have any idea, when the short will finished or when we can see some animated stuff. I just can't await watching the short ;)

WhiteRabbit: You are right! There are a lot of incredible 3d artist from Brazil, I´m not one of them yet, but working hard to be. It is so hard to get access to 3D information here that I really don´t know why there are so many experts on Brazil.
Jan: The short must to be done until may 22 cause it will be presented in the anual academic design congress (Design em Foco).
Right now, I´m just modeling all the characters and scenes while my partner in this project (Eric Quezado) works on character rigging.
