hi

the lighting seems to be wrong. looking at the planet, the sunlight comes from way back and bottom right. the ships should be lighted the same way instead of from top right.
another thing that bothers me is the stars. look at nasa pictures, you won't be seeing any stars, that's because there's something so much more brighter on the pic, like earth or a satellite. that doesn't mean that you shouldn't have stars on your image, but the image might look more realistic if the starfield would fade out the nearer it is to a starship or planet.
I like the models but I wonder why they have wings, and I think you'd have trouble explaining how those engines produce those lights (especially the small ship's).

good to see people using open source software here!

The planet and ship get the light from top right ;-)

the -wings- are deflector-engines to produce a shield against enemy-fire ;-)

Thats NO NASA-Picture! Please read the desciption again! It is a original picture of our universe from Torsten Gueths (http://www.astronomie.de/usr/torsten-gueths/html/index.htm) with his telescope!
