Title: Hoiree, Thief Paladin
Name: Jerome Moo Wen Han
Country: Malaysia
Software: Photoshop

I've been wanting to create my own graphic novel (or just a novel) titled "Hoiree, Thief Paladin". I painted this in hopes that it will inspire me to make it happen in the future. :)

A closeup of Hoiree's expression.

lot of depth, nice looking bike, the color scheme is a bit limited but works well, nice work.

Nice pic, dynamic! I like that character, though I don't really see if it's a guy or a girl.

Also, I think the composition is a bit flawed, as his glance drives opur eye out of the picture. Would suit better a landscape format with the police car on the right side.

Also, it feels like the lighting on the hero's vehicle doesn't fit the overall mood of the piece (too grey / blue compared to the reddish ambient).

Nuages: Thank you

SeifoSid: Thank you. I was trying to go for a lower saturated mood with limited palette. Not sure if I am entirely successful.

notpill: Hi there, thanks for liking the lights. They are fun to produce!

mv: Thanks for your valuable crits. I have to admit that my composition is indeed flawed! I didn't plan anything properly in the painting. Everything is done freehand, with all the designs and ideas made on the go, and many changes made along the way, which isn't a smart thing to do at all! I tried to make the bike and the boy (yeah, Hoiree is a boy :) ) pop out from the background. The bluish colour come from the the lights on the unseen dashboard and the sky overheard somewhere behind the viewer. And yeah, it could also have looked nicer in landscape mode.

Cheers!
