View Full Version : FX Reel - Kari Brown
kbrown 08-21-2006, 04:23 PM Just put my new re-cut showreel online (http://kbrown.wolfenstein.org/pages/posts/showreel-200611.php). Basically old stuff in new shell, but with lots of breakdown animations. Feel free to rip it apart :)

Nah, just kidding.
Really nice stuff. I especially loved the plane crash.
Can't think of much to say besides that.
Good job.
Keep it up.

Very nice Kari!
Just gives it that edge with your shot breakdowns in this version. Really like all your work especially the stadium and crash sequence, was a little disappointed you didn't include your version off perfect storm, thought that short piece was excellent. Look forward to seeing more off your work! :D
cheers,
Jamie.

Thanks guys!
RhythmOfLine: Maya and Shake were the two key apps on these.
jhaydock: I thought of putting the perfect storm clip on it but then I thought it's been around for few years already and decided to include only the newer stuff. Damn... now that I think of it I guess I should have included it... hmmm :)

That is a very well balanced reel.
I would tweak a bit the introductory title sequence so it had a bit more byte, but overall it is a very good reel.

Thanks guys.
DeKoVV: If you're asking if the explosions are filmed footage then yes. All of them are. We just enhanced few of them in post (made them larger).
