View Full Version : AM used in DODGE project
The company I work for, NTN just completed round two of the DODGE HAUL OF FAME. All of it was done in AM.

It was an intense project and we learned a lot about AM, especially the Sky Material. Guess what? In 8.5p++ every time you save the project it re-calculates the clouds!!

I found it under "what's new". It looks really good. I see it was done on v8.5 though :)

Wow! That's really good for A:M! How long did it take to get the truck built?
Yeah, it's in the What's new section, here's a screenshot of the Dodge 1500:
The project took one month from start to finish. Kevin Lyon (one of my artists) did most of the truck modeling, while I did enviroments, textures camera work and animation. Unfortunately we had little documentation from Dodge on the trucks.
I don't think they really understood the process of "3D", but the second time around we changed payloads (love AM for it's 'shortcut to' method in the chor) and rendered the whole thing (15 CPU's) in two weeks.
It was a fun project and disproves the theory that AM can't do mechanical modeling.
