heya, its me again

this time it would be cool if somebody could help me model a rose,
ive been into maya for several months (with many pauses cos of my girlfriend) but its seems im not getting any further :\

ive tried to model a car, and a dog but its kinda hard starting with that i think.

now i would just need a tutorial or somebody helping me model a rose.
it will be a gift for my girlfriend, when ready ill print it in a2 format on glossy paper.
it would be really really nice if somebody would just do me the favour of helping..

Buy 2 roses. Pull one of them apart and scan each petal then model and texture them from your scans. Also model the other bits. Then position and deform each petal using the rose you still have as reference. Do it all before they die. Nurbs will probably be easiest.
