View Full Version : modelled toes - bad shading/mesh between the toes
FR33K 08-19-2006, 08:55 PM How can i get rid of the bad shading or bad mesh (see yellow lines) between these toes on the images?

I am assuming that it would subdivide better if there was a quad inbetween each toe. You have each toe extrusion meeting at the same edge of a poly instead of opposite edges. I've attached a picture of with the subdivision on left and cage on right.

hey thx for answer the odd thing is 1. the way i extruded the toes i watched here:

and I also tried your method because it should get me obviously better results but there was a certain reason (i forgot...) why i decided not to choose the quad-method between each toe but i will try it again ... :)
