View Full Version : Basic keyframing question
mysrh 08-19-2006, 02:33 PM I am learning making a walk cycle, at this moment it is 24 frames. The way I set it up it frame 1 and frame 24 are same set-up.
Now my question is, what is the quicker way to copy and paste keyframe 1 to keyframe 24?
I can copy and paste one by one, but it will take ages to apply it to each attribute.
Thanks for the help

You should copy and paste the key ticks from the time line. Right click on the time line for the menu. If you're duplicating the keyframe of say your left leg control, all attributes that are keyed in the channel box will copy over to the new keyframe.

Is this providing in the new frame there is no keyframe on it yet?
Because I constantly make a new adjustments on frame 1, so I need to update the other frame as well.

That's the most efficient way to copy keys on multiple attributes especially when you need mirrored keys in a walk cycle. If you make a change on frame 1 copy/paste to frame 24. After you do it a few times you'll get use to the workflow.

Go to frame 1 on the timeline. Click and hold the ctrl key, and middle mouse drag to frame 24. Press S to set a key.
