View Full Version : Additive expressions...
Michael-Williamson 08-18-2006, 10:47 PM does anyone know what the syntax is to make an expression additive to the animation channels that it is applied to? (in lightwave its "value + expression", but I'm just starting in Messiah.

When you add channel to expression it defaults to = labeled by the '=' icon left to the channel. Click on it to change it to '+' and the value of the expression will be added to the channel.

And you can decide whether it's pre or post IK - really cool. If you're coming from LW expressions, you'll fing Messiah:Animates an absolute dream to use. They are soooooo easy and there are loads and loads of functions to use. They are, IMO, one of the most powerful areas of Messiah:Animate.

Thanks for that! I wondered what that = icon was for!
Yes, I invested loads of time in lightwave with expresssions and scripting and was ultimately dissapointed that I couldn't get it all to work how I wanted due to solving issues.
Messiah is a dream so far. I'm just playing on the demo at the moment. Can't wait for the full version to be delivered!
