View Full Version : PLE on Macbookpro via bootcamp

So, I just d/led Maya PLE to test how well it would run on the MBP in bootcamp and it crashes almost right off the bat. As soon as I pan the scene it closes down the program. It does it everytime I attempt a pan. Has anyoen had success with running PLE on the MBP?
I was debating as to whether I could run version 8 on this but it's not looking good at the moment.

Windows XP. I was getting a memory error so I removed the memory I had added and it still crashes so, I am wondering if it's just not going to work - just seems crazy that it wouldn't.

More specifically, I get the following error: "Memory consistency failure. Maya is unstable."

I have read that many had this problem with version 7. Anyone know how it is fixed?

Ok..Apparently, PLE doesn't like dual-core so once you tell it to use only the single cpu all is well. I don't know if the full version has this problem but, I assume not.

I run Maya 7 without any issues like this on my 17 inch MBPro under boot camp with XP.
