View Full Version : Stupid question.
Harregarre 08-18-2006, 02:15 PM Okay, I think it's obvious but I can't seem to find how to do it. I'm looking for a way to stop the inbetweening done by Maya, so I can block my animation first. I read something about F-curves but I can't seem to find them in Maya.
Thanks in advance,
Harregarre

Bottom right hand corner of the interface there is a preferences button (Right next to the autokey). In there go to the animation category, and under tangents you have your options there! Just knock the top one to clamped, and the bottom one to stepped, and weight the tangents if u want! Ummm, yea, well I think that's wot the settings are! :)
Hope that helps
Cheers

Hmm, I'll try. It's just that this article at keithlango.com said something about f-curves and setting it to 0 inbetweening.
Edit: I didn't see the option you mentioned at animation but found them at Keys. This didn't seem to do the trick though.

clamped and stepped works for me... but it only applies to new keys. To change old keys, go to Graph Editor, select the keys, and click the step tangents button.

Hmm, okay, I'll try one from scratch.
