Awsome! Im a big fan of Joe Mad!
One thing- the everlast buckle piece on the shorts looks a little do big. Like its not actually part of his shorts? Could just be the angle and lighting tho.
THUMBS UP!

I like it so far. especially since sagat is my favorite character in the street fighters. but i think that maybee the arms are a bit to thin compared to the torso or maybee it the way you did your render. you could try lighting your model in a different way (less darkness)so we could see the silhouette better , but like i said its really nice.

I really like this but I think the head has to be bigger, even if Joe Mad would have made it smaller. Also I'm not sure about that "everlast" thing on his belt, I would keep it plain.

very cool! Love the proportions and you captured him perfectly. It'd be nice to see some wires/plain shaded views as well.

he really never looks like a Thai in the original, and now definitely not a Thai anymore.
Yah, the thing at the belly should be label part of the short

Yes!! I didn't realize about the "everlast"... It really is flat and is a part of the shot! :p
But I did the thin arms and little head to keep the style and look like the drawing!
Soon, I'll post more images here!!
I'm so happy for you linking!!!
Thanks so much!

Hello,
I'm posting new images... but I haven't done the modeling of some areas like shot, legs, hands and feet (and I won't finish it anymore) because I'll back to work on the dragon that I was doing.
I'm so glag for you like it!

Really REALLY NICE... i am a BIG fan of Street fighter... have all the (almost) games, movies and comic books... so i guess im a big fan...
Best looking 3D Sagat i have seen...
BUT... the legs.. they are to thin, thats what i think.. it looks wierd and makes him look weak in his legs... wich he is MOST defenetly Not! :)
he is after all the King of Muay Thai...
Heres an image to show what i mean...:

I agree with bardur, BULK UP THOSE LEGS!!:) The model is done beautifully and I can't wait till you put some detail into his lower half of the body. I would like to see him have big calves thoe.
Can I see a wire? I'm still trying to learn a few things and I'm wondering how you did each muscle. If you can, that'll be great!

I agree too, the legs need some more muscle on them :) Else then that absolutely amazing! Streetfighter characters have always left an impression on me.

He's a Muay Thai Boxer, not a Kick Boxer, they're totally 2 separate things.

Yeah, those legs look a little scrawny right now. How is he going to do his tiger Knee or tiger uppercut like this?!
Other than that, jolly good work

Very nice work! Capcom hasnt even done a 3d Sagat this good! Sagat is actually my favorite character from the streetfighter series aside from Fei Long. Great work on capturing his personality through the facial expression. It was said before about the legs which is my only crit. So whats your plan with this guy texture, animation, ...etc? Gimme more!

Yes, Sagat is a Muay Thai Boxer, and they need to be agile and fast!
Therefore I did the thin legs... and also because I tried to keep the style of Joe Mad's drawings.
He always draws his characters with thin legs and it gives speed and agility for his heros without lose the power.
As I told you, I haven't done the modeling yet. But I not intend to do this because I'm already wonking on another characther!
About the wireframe... I did a base on xsi and used zbrush to modeling... So, the wireframe is "black" hehehe You won't can see anything ;)
Thanks for comments and crits, and keep up!

i also think the legs need to be worked on even if you do want to keep them thin thay look out of place like he dont use them or only does upper body work outs. put some musles on them at least

Nice job, I'm a street fighter fan but I'm a HUGE Joe Mad fan. I own most of his work. The legs really do fit his style. If your going to do someone else style, do it all the way and your doing a good job. Joe Mad have a anime mixed with an american comic style. great job.

Nice stuff!! I dun really mind about the thin legs but to keep it match with the strong mucle body, i think maybe u need some muscle sculpting on the legs....Keep going to the next stage, it will be a interesting character!!!
