SheepFactory 01-24-2003, 07:18 PM Hi guys ,
how do i rotate an object on its local axis instead of the global?
I am trying to rotate a face i extruded on the x\z plane and with the global rotation its impossible to place it as i want.
thanks in advance.

I'm not exactly sure what you want to do but if you select your poly, right click for the tool menu then right click 'rotate' you'll be in vector mode. You can now select any edge face or point (left click) then right click to execute and drag to rotate about the selected feature.
I read somewhere that you can rotate about a normal too but not in my version, as far as I can see it would be the same as rotate about a face anyway!
Hope that helps!

I only discovered it today myself :o) It's a cool feature huh?
Sorry it doesn't do what you want though.
