Still working on the texturing of the walls and floor. Lighting is still being slightly tweaked. Also adding in a few small details.
Comments and critiques requested (I really need 'em, I'm kind of running into a dead-end)

The socket's look solid....like you couldn't plug anything into them. and I think if the baseboards are that beat up and scratched, the socket plate should be less perfect and shiny. The plane is fantastic however :)

Yeah, I'm still playing with the texture of it. The latest render included a version that was too dirty and banged up. I also need to work on the floor texture to make it better match the rest of the scene.
The socket holes are solid, I didn't sweep them back far enough.

Still need to add wing "holes" to the mousehole so it can fit inside, and I'm roughing up the edges of the hole too. Also I'm struggling on how to model the mouse. Aliasing will be corrected for the final render. I may get rid of the power outlet all together (still need to sweep the holes back further if I decide to keep it)

in this render the sweep of the outlet wasn't bad at all...maybe it just depends on the angle...I think the outlet is important because it gives us a definite relationship size wise between it and the plane.
The cheese is a little bit too smooth and reflective.
Nice progress, I can't wait to see the final rendering...
Have you posted wireframes yet?

Small update. I may remodel the mice, I'm not sure. Not sure about the DOF either... any suggestions?
