View Full Version : Evaluate srcipt outside of 3DSMax
I have heard that it is possible to evaluate maxscripts outside of 3DSMax but I have no idea how to do it. Anyone knows can it be done and how?

how could that be possible - maxscripts are evaluated with max - they perform maxcommands , i dont see how you could evaluate them (in any useful way anyhow) without communicating with max
but if im wrong on that, id also love to see something like that :)
edit: or do you mean use an external editor e.g. ultraedit?

just use Simon Feltan Rez8n Bridge.
http://www.scriptspot.com/start.asp?p=main_extensions&BrowseType=Complete&Sort=MAXVer&ST=-1
i use it within Crimson editor but it work with ultraedit too. Useful if you have 2 screen If no stick with with maxscript editor IMO
[edit] sorry the site seem to be down...[edit]
Thanks. I'll try it and see how it works.
It's working :). Nice :)
Well I really hope than I can now say "goodbye" for maxscript editor.
