I think skylight (as the name says) have main purpose for outdoor scenes...
You'll need to play with radiosity for that indoors...
(check for some tutorials in the documentation)

As its name implies, skylight is an environemental light coming from outdoor. So if you don't have windows, don't use it :wip:

wrong !!! you can use skylight for indoor ... even without windows

hopefully you can ... skylight is just GI !!!

for that you just need to right click on your box (or all the walls) go in proprietes then go to adv. lightning and uncheck cast shadows ...

that's all !!!!

hope it will help you ....

bye ...

CIF that doesn't prove it works in a box.. thats more of a hack. THe fact of the matter is then its just excluding the object from its calculations and making it the same as if there were no box...

Oh !! I foget, for better result don't uncheck it on the ground ...
or put another plane as a ground under your room ground .

Thanks CiF:thumbsup:

works beautifully

Works so beautifully infact that i might not even use it coz i get no shadows on my wall corners coz i disabled the shadows ofcourse.

The quest for the perfect room lighting continues.

Im not a big fan of radiosity cause I not very familiar with it! All the results i get out of radiosity are no good.
so the other quest of learning to use radiosity continues.

as I said before, you need a set of light to retrive those dark corners ... playing with inculde/exclude of course ...

once you get use to this method, it's quite fast ...

but of course you can practice with radiosity ...

good luck ...

for more info about this methode, look for fake radiosity ...

I found that easier than radiosity ....

but its just my taste...
