Hey everyone,

This is a film i finished last year as part of a scheme here in Bristol called SE3D. It's the first film out of my studio, see what you reckon to it.

You can see it here and there's links in case you want to read more about the project it was for.

Thats really awesome ! What a funny little story! At first I was kinda thrown off by the lip sync though. It seemed very... poppy. But the more that I watched, the more I like it. Very different style. The "knock knock" joke was brilliant! 5 Stars from me.

Hey man,

A cool little thing you've got there! Really like the character designs and the poppy animation was very aardman-ish. That being said....I (and my co-worker here) found the dialogue to be extremely dry. The look of the thing was great, the characters were fun...but it took all we had to get through the whole thing simply because the dialogue wasn't very compelling.

Could just be a personal thing, because I know British humor can often be unintelligable to us Americans, but that's just something to think about ;)

4 stars for the cool characters though :)

stellar job here....

I really liked the character concepts and how they conflicted through out. It was an interesting script to say the least. I found myself laughing at times, but then at moments lost in the flat tone of their conversation. ending lost me a bit, i was expecting the climax of his 'knock knock' joke to really explain things.

I might add the style of animation was unique. Didn't know if you were going for the snappy jaw, but i think it works. if you were to change anything you might add some Z and Y rotation to break the linear feel of his jaw.

nice job, thanks for sharing. :)

hey thanks for your comments everyone,

yeah i know what you mean about the script, it kind of got to the point where i just needed to end it. it was a joke about interactive tv here in the uk and the "red button" that you use to access it. for a long time it used to just crash everyones cable boxes but it's better now ... i think. so unfortunately a bit irrelevant to a lot of people but the film was mostly a test for me to see whether i could make it on my own (well, as part of a scheme but without financing and all that) and in that regard it went really well. will try and get a proper scriptwriter for any further conversation pieces. the guys who did the voices were just mates and it wasn't professional and i thought they did pretty well considering but yeah, it's a bit flat in places, down to everyone's professional experience - including my own..!

glad people seem to like it on the whole though. for that film it's pretty much the reaction i was after.

thanks again

d
