sabaman 01-24-2003, 04:02 AM this thread got deleted earler, i thought you could link images but i guess not,
anyways, heres my ferrari f50, you can also see it in the post your car thread, but this one has better renders, allthough you cant see em very good cuz of the horrible compression,
the car was modeled in rhino3d using no textures and rendered in bmrt,...

i think it has way too much reflection on it, makes it a bit too unnatural.
it also seems like the front of the car is a bit too short and small compared to the middle of the car. maybe its just the perspective.
also, i think the rims need texture on it, and the windows need a bit more work on it........its a good start, but id like to see those improvements made before id consider it a final final.
good job though.

two, i was going for that showroom look which is high reflectivity as far as i know, you know, just waxed and all,
the front too short, well, i could get you a wireframe shot matched up with a pic, and i can say its pretty close so i gues its the view,
the windows i kept dark cuz i hardly have any interior, the car was getting way too heavy for my computer, and em, do you have a suggestion for the rims, i like to avoid textures though, they dont show up that nice in bmrt so if you mean a material its doable,...

Looks good, but it's maybe a bit too "rounded"? Can U post a wireframe?

well, i just noticed i saved over the file while trying to make a template, i have an older back up with less detail, so ill get you a wireframe of that one,...

Done in NURBS... The renders looks like smoothed polys. My mistake.
The side windows should be done with a parallel patch (more accurate).
The front side fenders looks a bit odd.
Maybe the car is a bit too tall? At least maybe the windows/roof are a bit tall. Or is it the front section that's a bit too big/tall?
But what do I know. Ferrari is not really among my favorits anyway.
Keep up the good work!

thanks man,
i have to say, with this car ive been really accurate though,
the only things that i know of that are off is that,
the spoiler is a bit too high, about 1-2 inches
the roof, by about 1 inch
and the side, top, area could be a bit more sharp, but i noticed that too late,..

I love the rear view,, maybe its missing the hatching vent around the rear section around the tail lights,, but that could be done with textures.
I think its about the best F50 I have seen modeled.
Great job Saba.:bounce:
looks like your getting better at BMRT. I like the Show room look from time to time.
I think its very Propotional,, dead on from the photos and models I have of it. I see a few minor things,, but still hard to tell.
great job on the detailed parts,, I like the 3d Logos,, and modeled tred,, I like it when things are all modeled out.
