This is a new image that I finished over the weekend, it's a model of Brandon Routh from Superman returns. The focus was to create a good likeness and a sense of realism. I spent a lot of time on the textures, it was very important that the skin look real, especially on his hands. I did a lot of work on the uv layout, there had to be very little texture distortion, since the pattern was tiled across the entire costume. I also put a lot of effort into the sculpt to make sure that the structure and form of the model looked right.

I like superman . he is like the hero for all of mankind
so what do u thing the artist that drew him will be ??? I think a hero like him

thats so nice ..clear.. fantastic.i like the skin specially his hands,

Nicely done textures and shadings, especially the hand.

I assume the half-lit face is to create a more dramatic atmosphere to the composition;

however, I somehow feel that due to the straight-on front pose of his, the half face in dark

appears to be "way" too pitch black...wondering if catching a bit bounce there would balance

out the look a bit more. Some suggestions.

Nice image. How did you model the cape going into the collar. That looks like it would be difficult.

Nice work on the shaders and such though it dosent really look like Brandon Routh though.. :shrugs:

Wowzers, this image is faultless, amazing work

great stuff, i've just watched the movie yesterday, and you realy nailed it!My only crit would be the Superman's left hand, those black shadows, not unnatural, but they don't look nice :) anyway, 4 stars from me!
