Is it possible to import a Cult3D object (extension= .co) in Rhino or any other program for that matter? I just have a model of a forklift from a company and want to see how it's constructed...

I never heard Cult3d program before and I never heard anyone exporting cult3d into rhino. But I can tell you, if you modeled forklift with nurb with cult3d program and export it as .obj format, it could work with rhino. I don't think it would work if you export mesh object.

It is a program that allows you to view 3d objects in webpages:
example: http://www.raymondcorp.com/trucks/truckDetail.cfm?TruckID=8 (click on interactive 3d model)

and the website of the program is www.cult3d.com

Seems like a rather usfall piece of software, I didn't know what this software was till I read this thread so I can't answer with 100% confidence but from a quick look around the net it seems you can't straight from Rhino.

However it seems you can get exporters from other software (eg. 3dsMax, Maya) here http://www.cult3d.com/download/download.asp

So by adding 1 program to the pipeline it seems possible.

If you get it working be sure to post here, I would love to see what you come up with :)

I confirmed with Rhino supporter..... Unfortunately, there is no way to import .co format into rhino as of yet but maybe in future. So other way around you could import .co file in 3ds max like tilite suggested then convert/save .co into .3ds or .obj format. Then, again import .3ds or .obj in Rhino... hope this help.

Are u sure you can IMport .co in 3D Max? Cause I know you can EXport... but importing dunno...

Actually you can import .co into 3ds max only if you are willing to purchase expensive converters for 3ds max. Any converter program is really good since it were able to convert vareity of 3d formats without changing surface/mesh quality...see --> link (http://www.3dlinks.com/links.cfm?categoryid=1&subcategoryid=11) .... If you rather to go cheap way you could still export your 3dcult, but in wavefront .obj format (if 3dcult software have one). A lot of 3d/nurbs programs include .obj format since it can allow users to exchange 3d models into different 3d program, but this can change mesh/nurb quality.
