Damnit, still way too little time for me!

Another perspective practice, I think I'm getting better, even though it's slow going :D
Threw in some background color scheme to make it slightly less boring.

Hi, this is my first post here. I didn't know how short 45mins can be...

It took me 55mins with pencil, paper and gimp (still no tablet!)

Nice sketches Hydra and downspiral

I ran out of time on this one. I started this one on pen and paper, and as a result i didn't have enough time to do all the colouring once scanned, so here it is after 45 minutes:

I spent another 30 minutes on it trying to add a bit more shading:

My original concept didn't quite come through because I ran out of time but you get the general idea. I'm terrible at anything spaceship related but this kind of came out in a zuihitsu way so... yeah. about 25 min. That greyish yellow imprinted in my mind as the perfect color for everything--hair, sweater, pants, boots. I tried to vary it a little. I just realized I forgot the other sleeve... It was a fashion forward one sleeve sweater. Yeah.

For some bizarre reason that image makes me roll my eyes and say "Oh! French!.."

Lol. Well, Paris is one of the fashion centers of the world, so I guess there's a possibility of me making it in the fashion industry. *tries to grow more fingers to cross*

allowed my self to only look at the photo ref for about 1 min and only 3 times

I was pretty happy after 40 min until I put them side by side hehe... but it was fun to do!

PS/wacom 40min - just love the pilot!

This one was done in just about 45 minutes. It was a struggle for some reason, but I was mostly focusing on colors and not details for this one. At the last minute I put a doorway in the foreground, which seemed to tie it all together. I really like all of the sketches for this one by the way. There is some really great work in the DSF. Great job everyone!

Ok folks, here's my entry:

http://www.triskell-productions.com/CGtalk/The%20pilot.jpg

45 min, photoshop+tablet.

I went for the formula 1 pilot. I'll see enough plane the next days, since I'm going to england for 2 days, I'll be away a bit. I bothered to do this last sketch before going though.

Wow, so many great ones.

Anyway, I promised myself that I would do the daily sketches and that I would submit them no matter how they turned out (I'm starting to regret this already :)).........

PS, about 45min:

Really gorgeous work Reaper, same with everyone else too. I've been on DSGF only in shirt spurts--are there always so many drop dead gorgeous entries? I don't know who to vote for!

SamsonsReaper : Awesome usage of colors man, kudos from me. It's very inspiring :)
Mychael: Ah, a life of a pilot! :) The blurry feel fits the mood.
danielh68: I wish I could sketch as fast as you... 30 mins? And in the result, you get a high detailed work! Excellent!

Alright, well, here's my pilot. Hope I'm not too late ;)
Adobe Photoshop 7.0, Wacom A5.
Around 40-50 minutes.
