View Full Version : Character: Amon strikes back
This is a picture from the second illustrations' serie I have done with Amon, a CG character i realized a year ago now (maya/polygons).
I had fun to make this character, and now i use him for illustrations, shorts animations, etc...
The basic rendering is quiet simple, i just try to grip lights at this time of the process; then, the biggest part of the work is done with photoshop, penpartner, and homemade textures.
Hope you'll like.

Looks fantasic.
I'd lose the tag line. "Hold on to your ego"? What is that supposed to mean?!
All anger aside, looks damn good.

:D
Reminds me of some old DC comics/Darkhorse pinups I used to have. Cool style.

whow, i love that style, the colours the character...everything!!!
d'you have more of that?
hey!
Cool, if it makes you think about old school comics Matt, i'm kinda nostalgic these days of those old colours instead of the actual digital colorisation with gradients and lens flare that you can see everywhere.
Uh...
what about the "hang on to your ego" line,
i first thought it was from mr Franck Black from the Pixies, but i had confirmation that he himself took it from Brian Wilson.
You don't have to be scared about your ego, you just have to know where your limits are, and if you can go further...
all is a question of motivation.
but
i see the moderator have changed my Thread from "CG based character" to "2d Character".
So shall i join a hardware rendering of my good old boxer man!

Let's add another pict then...
Same process, same week, same character.
Another portrait of the guy
and one more zoom for the details.
