Title: Innocence
Name: Mathias Karlsson
Country: Sweden
Software: Painter, Photoshop

In the beginning I had in mind a more detailed image but as time went by working with it, I thought about what truly is "me" regarding art. I focused therefore more on feeling than detail. Some in the WIP area may kill me for this :)
My plan with this was to mix between rough areas and some detail. I wanted it to feel like something between a sketch and a painting.
Comments are welcome!

I think it's absolutely lovely. I've been thinking for some time what to write, really, because I can't manage to think of much more than just to say 'lovely' over and over again.

As for style - I feel that if one follows their own style it may still become good or bad, but at least it'll be a lot more so than with a more legacy-ish one :)

Thanks for your kind words! :bounce: I appreciate it. Too follow your own style could mean that noone likes you at all OR that someone actually do. Then itīs all worth it. Everything depends if you are loyal to yourself and what you do. I hope I am :)

This work has a genuine charm, integrity and lyrical quality to it. The feeling of the picture is your strength. Stay true to yourself and keep up the good work.

Thanks for your support! Great to hear from you. I have been to your webpage earlier and I really love your "Sienna studies"! What a technique! When I saw them I knew what I would like to learn :)
