Title: Templar - Game Resolution
Name: Andrew Kincaid
Country: USA
Software: Deep Paint, Maya, ZBrush

This is a Game resolution model of a Knight Templar. I was going for fairly historically accurate; most of my reference was taken from various scenes in kingdom of heaven.
This is a hardware render (which is basically a real time in panel shot of the model) CGFX shaded in Maya, this is not a software render.
All the game res stuff is done in Maya, some of the detailing was done in mudbox and zbrush.

This is just a print screen from maya, the model is shaded with cgfx real time shaders.

That is almost perfect! Nothing to say.

But I am curious about chain mail gloves. I don't think chains allow it to be wear around the fingers. That would be a pain for sword user.

Imho inner side of the hands would be leather and the outer side may stay still chain.

4+

The inner side of the hands is leather, just hard to see in the first picture.
I like "Kingdom of Heaven" also and I your model seems very accurate.
Excellent work on the dirty textures. Would be awesome to have a character like that in an actual game.

IDA, here is the reference shot I was using for the gloves, its from the movie kingdom of heaven, who knows if its really historically accurate, but I thought it looked pretty cool

Oh and I misspelled "templar" in the final still, just goes to show how stupid I can be sometimes! DOH! I posted an update to the image, but it will probably take a while to go through. Sorry for that.

@RedFish

Sorry about the gloves, my mistake. I thought for once that chains are wrapping fingers but (thanks to pap97) I realized that you have already accomplished what I mention. So now I'm changing "almost perfect" phrase of my earlier post to "perfect" :thumbsup:
