Hi there fellow forumites,
following idea:
- someone posts a non-lettered comic strip.
- it should be suggestive but open to interpretation
- everyone is free to add speech balloons or sfx and simply do the comic lettering on that strip
- we are not just looking for nothing but the ultimate punchline - this is a comic drawing/lettering practise thread. You could chose to make it open-ended or try to make people laugh.
- Just try to tell the story
- of course, this thread also lends itself for practising drawing. In fact, it's meant that way also: everyone please come up with your comic strips.
- Mind the space which will be needed for the lettering when you post drawings.
- I suggest we post lowres previews of the pics along with text-only links to high-res versions of the pics.
If anyone needs help on comic book lettering, there's excellent tutorials on
http://www.balloontales.com (http://www.balloontales.com/)
which are mostly directed at users of Adobe Illustrator, but I found Inkscape (http://www.inkscape.org/)can do the job, too...
I am not that good at drawing, but I will start off with the following pics:

I did a lettered version, too. Feel free to skip the spoiler tag if you feel you would like to letter the strip without having looked at mine first.

Looking forward to your versions!
Hope, we can kick this off...:D
