Title: "Avant Garde" in color
Name: Neha Kakkar
Country: India
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop, VRay

This is the coloured version of my b/w render. Done in 3ds max, vray, PS. The idea again was to study lights, shadows and texturing in max.

Picture little blur. Dabbling with shadows = more contrast = more appealing. Not a bad subject!

Textures are really good but imho much detailed textures or less noise with more bumpmaps could made it better & better. I like the saturated sunlight anyway.

Hi there,
This is a nice piece of work, but there are a few crits (these are just my opinions)
- There seems to be too much of saturation in the image, eg: the orignal colour of the wall / stairs has completely become white due to the light.
- The textures need to be more normal mapped (bump) to make it look real, also you can add a side light (helper) to make the textures prudent.
- I liked the compostion of the scene

cheers

Just my opinion, perhaps I am wrong: there is a very dark zone in each step near the almost burn light on the wall and that even in the moon is not possible.
The textures look like a blurred photography but then you need blur also all and you can
see a more sharp line in the zone above commented.
The green splotches look CGish not real thing. I think because you used only one simple and not fractal and complicated mask to achieve detail and variation in that green microscopic
vegetable life.
I have a rule I never broke: never burnt zones with lights. You can take a photography
and have burned zones but we must not try recreate photographys in 3D in my opinion. The real goal in my opinion is achieve the look your eye see, better than photography always because the histogram of light intensities in the eye is far better than in any conventional (not HDR) photo.

But it looks very good as it is just now. Pretty really.
