Hey guys, anyone know much about Camera mapping in max 8?
I pretty much know the basics of how to set up a scene based on a projected image, however no matter how much i try i just can't seem to get it to match up, it all seems perfect in the viewport but when rendered it starts to look really crap.
I've created a basic matte from a photo of an old victorian house, and i've modelled the house over the image max, i then animated the camera slightly, just to give a little parallax and give the illusion of depth by panning slight to the left. But no matter how much i tweak it, it still looks really crap and seems to break up. I'm sure this is something that only i can really solve just by persistence.
Well just thought i'd blow off a little steam of frustration! :-)
Any tips or suggestions are very appreciated.
The legend that is Chris Stoski is soon to release Gnomon DVD series on just this subject, 6-8 weeks to wait! i'm shreading my hair out!
I might post the image and perhaps the scene in a short while, for now please see the image here:

how would you go about doing this?
