View Full Version : Render Wiredness, black lines
tmas73 08-11-2006, 09:59 PM Any clues on this render? Network rendered, 9.6 and same configs all over the network. Is it pyrocluster?

Thanks for the help.

Maybe it's just me, but there doesn't seem to be a link to go to...

Is it pyrocluster?
My guess would be yes, since it only seems to be that part of the frame that's affected/hosed. Is that a straight render out of c4d, or is that a render composited onto the background?

Straight Render out of Cinema, any known work around on this one?

I'd start by stripping the scene down to a "base" object...render. Does it do it? No...add another element...render....etc. Once the behavior shows up...you'll atleast know what you need to fix.
It is an odd problem. I don't have any ideas as to what it could be by just looking at it. Do the steps above and I'm sure you'll nail it down.

Have you altered the world step size in the pyrocluster environment?
Are you rendering to frame files (.tif, .tga, etc.) or are you rendering to a compressed QT or AVI perhaps?
just a couple ideas... not sure.

Yes I changed the step size and I rendered in this case to a movie but also tif does the same thing. U think the World step size?
Its at 50.

I bet that is the culprit. depending on the size of your particles in the pyrocluster shader settings, that very well could be causing the clipping.
try going to a more modest 10 or 5 (the default is something like .5 i think) Just keep stepping down by 1/2 until it is acceptable, then try going back up again until the clipping returns.
I also noticed that your pyrocluster particles didn't seem to have much volumetric detail, which further lead me to believe that the step size is the issue.
Hope that's all it is, because that's an easy fix.

So it is the model itself I think. Look at the movies . I replaced the Eiffel Tower with a mockup and it renders fine, I also changed the SLA which did not do nothing. Any idea!
