View Full Version : Walking the box
SS05870 01-23-2003, 04:58 PM Hello everybody,
i'm working on the typical exercise of George Maestri's books "Character animation" about a box that walks. I want it to do it, not using bones but FFD...
...and the question is: how can i link a dummy object to a certain number of FFD control points?
thanks

Simply Put, You don't. As far as I know as I have done the same exersize, you cannot link the Control Latice to anything. You simply have to move all the points accordingly. Its easiest with a 3x3x2 ffd box around the object. Worth a go, but I find bones faster now.

hi
havn't tried doing that with ffd but i think you can do that by going to the sub object level of ffd and select point and then slap linked x form modifier on it and point it to the dummy. i think this should work for u :)
