Awesome man, the enclosed street with those beautifully painted walls really illustrate just how momentous his trek will be, because those walls are much taller than he is so that mountain looks like it isn't going to be much fun to climb. Your lighting is on point too.

Great job. Haven't I seen it here already? Except for the chalenge thread of course?
I like how you painted the mountain. It looks mysterious, but in a nice way. Also you've done a good choice not painting to much of the sky above the mountain in order to leave a lot of place above the city, which kind of makes it actually visible that the mountain is a very important thing in the lives of ordinary peole.

At first glance I have to admit, it looked more like a tidal wave about to crash down on an unsuspecting town. But after reading your explantation it completely changed the mood of the piece. I think what threw me off was the white particles around the peak, which reminded me of foam and spashes. Still very beautiful work. Great job.

this would make a great poster... but honestly, i really don't like it when artists blur parts of the piece... it just ruins the overall feel... it would be nice to see details whenever and wherever possible, but proper use of DoF is a nice touch too... still, this would make a great poster! i just felt like ranting about blurs... :D
