View Full Version : modeling a car: peugeot 405
sebek27 01-23-2003, 03:56 PM i have been learning cinema for the past few months, and this is my first try at modeling a car... I will tweak the car to make it smooth once the whole body is finished..

Looks like you have the general body down but outside of that it looks like a VERY early WIP.
Keep it up!

My best advice is:
less is more.
Use less polys to gernate your surfaces. Those big broad areas where you have no or very littler surface deviation should be a single quad or just a few.
Keep the model as clean as possible as you build it.
Add the small details later.
Use nothing but quads (four sided polygons), unless you deliberatly want to have a pinch somewhere.
Looks like a good start. :) Everyone works differently - so my word is not meant to be the way it's done. Take what other say and use what works best for you and what makes you feel comfortable. :D
