View Full Version : hair symmetrical. can it be done?

Hello everyone,

I am starting to figure out the hair in xsi. love adding it to my models. the only thing, how can I duplicate the symmetry so both sides are even? I cant figure this out. it would save me a lot of time knowing if it can be done.

also, if you can recommend a good bounce to the hair as the character moves id love to know it.

I wish I could get the displacement to work correctly in xsi. still cant figure that out.

it can be done but not without a knowledge of scripting. I use a scripted operator, simply scripting translates on individual points is way to slow, you need to work through the object model.

thanks for the help, its good to know. now I can stop wasting my time trying to figure it out.

?? AFAIK you can by simply adding a symmetry map to to the hair when selected. This is only using surface generated not hair from curves
