CGTalk - Object ID Pass

Hello,

I was wondering if someone could fill me in on how to properly used an ID pass in fusion. I Have a scene with several layers along with a pass that hass each object represented by a solid colour. I havent had any luck isolating the colours with fusions built in keyer. Perhaps I am missing a step here on containing certain colours.

It's quite simple to use an external id pass.
You have to use channel booleans node - use your image as background and id pass as foreground. Then in CB enable aux channels and use foreground image (id pass) hue as an object id channel.
It works.

To check if everything is ok add color corrector, make coorection and check on ''use object id' - then use picker to get the id.

In certain cases you'll have to adв color corrector with maxed saturation to your id pass prior to CB.
