All,

I had a model library question. I'd like to use some simple pre-built geometric primitives, for example an arrow. Is there any way to create these things from basic parmeters, such as direction, overall length, base length, head length, base radius, head radius, color, etc.? Although I could draw a unique arrow for each case, I'm hoping there's a better way. If so, can I animate these parameters, e.g. conect the overall length to an IPO and watch my arrow lengthen / shrink? (Note that just scaling the arrow makes everything shrink/grow where I'm expecting the base and head radius to stay the same.)

Thanks for the help!

Bryan

Maybe shape keys could do the trick?

Just a thought...

in-case you mean using an arrow primitive, there is none in blender.
Blender's primitives (for mesh) include- plane, cube, circle, cylinder, grid, monkey, UVsphere, ICOsphere, tube and cone. that's it.

I think it 2.42 they allow you to make custom primitives
