so is sub windows
whih allows you to take n objet from the scene nd edit it alone in another window while the scene is still open
then update the scene (if not realtime update)

just make some hotkeys for "view along x,y,z"

that was my favorite feature in xsi. makes scene navigation in crowded scenes a snap. I am glad they are implementing it in wings too.
