Hi

This is my first character model in CINEMA 4D, but i was wondering what to do with his hair?!?

Im not sure which looks better either frizzy or straight?

Any suggestions?

Apply Hair Dynamics and then shape the hair (comb, brush, tools etc.). Otherwise you have a nice Troll doll. :)

Thanks for your advise.

Do you think it will be easy to animate my 'troll doll' in Cinema 4D?

There are basically three ways to do character animation (CA) in Cinema 4D:

* Basic bones
* MOCCA
* Cactus Dan's suite of plugins

Depending upon the desired level of animation and requirements, any of these could suffice. Basic bones (rigging) with vertex maps (bone weighting) will get you basic character animation. MOCCA will give you better weighting using Claude Bonet and soft dynamics. CD's plugins will give you better animation controls by far.

Which to use will depend on what you have (do you have the MOCCA module) and what you can afford (MOCCA module and CD's plugins are separate purchases - MOCCA is part of the C4D XL or Studio bundles).

In this regard, best to appraise what you have or can acquire and check out the tutorials either at Maxon's site or some of the other sites (C4Dcafe, for instance).

On your initial question: I think it looks better with straight hair
