View Full Version : ZBrush UV Seams screwy in LW
essencedesign 08-09-2006, 04:27 PM Has anyone encountered weird issues with a sort of 'bulging' effect along UV seams after displacments from ZBrush, I can't seem to get a nice smooth seam along my object and I'm a bit stumped here, I've generated all my UV's in Zbrush and have no problems on any on my pieces untill I start to weld them all back together. Any input on this ?
Thanks \

This could depend from different factors.
however AUV or GUV work great.
i used them often with the Zwave plugin to directly import em on my Lwo. there are some parameters you can check. for example the smooth UV next to the displacement map creation controls. also hitting adaptive could generate a more accurate disp map.
weld em back together? it seems you've separated parts like head, arms and more to better work with them in ZB, then re weld em? uhm.. in this case i think you can encounter some probs. the fact is : very probably seams don't match.
its usually better to just use one single UV map generated from ZB.
or, you could use different traditional UV maps generated in Lw or other app, part after part and combine em later.
just because, right now, ZB uses one UV map for object
