Hi,

OK, I've had difficulty in selecting armatures with a pen without causing a slight movement aswell. Now with auto key turned on, this could be a nuisance as it would create keys on the channels that are altered. So I've come up with a novel (!) solution. Set one of your pen buttons to left DOUBLE click and use that whenever you want to select your armatures without accidentally moving them! It needs to be double click from my experimentation to date.

OK, you can all laugh now! :scream: Hey it seems to be working for me at present. If anyone can think of a more elegant solution let me know! It's not like I have unsteady hands!

For years now I've had LMB double click set up on my stylus as a great productivity booster for general Windows navigation and just recently I gave it up for a MMB for access to more messiah features. And now you say LMB double click is in vogue again!

 Great tip anyway, I'll remember it if this drives me nuts one day.

Ok, a much more elegant solution to the armature selection using a pen is to use another type of armature activation that I've never used before - mouse over - so cool! When your mouse goes over the armature, the edit sphere pops up and you're free to start manipulating without accidentally creating other keys.

Turns out that this has only come to the fore on my new machine. Why? I'm guessing that the old one took a very short time to recognise the armature being clicked on, the new machine is way way faster and so this slight lag (that was useful!) is now gone.

Anyhow - if you come across it, the mouse over style of armature activation may just be your solution!
