Hi,

Just a question here....
I'm buying myself a nvidia quadro 4 750 xgl this week and heard something about maxtreme-drivers, which are said to boost the performance of max, I however couldn't find the maxtreme drivers for max 5. Are there any for max 5, or are the maxtreme-drivers for max 4 compatible with max 5?. And last but not least; what is the best operating system in your opinion to run both max and the quaddro?

With regards, Thomas Kroes

I do belive the MAX4 MAXtreme drivers are, infact, not compatible with the MAX5 ones. Try a search on this very forum and I think you shall find this has been discussed before.

Operatingsystem wise the choice is either Windows 2000, or Windows XP. That's about the entire list of valid OS' to choose from I'd say.

no there are working drivers but they are pretty bug ridden.
Theyre pretty fast from what i can tell, but i discovered the other day that in some situations the vertexes disappear. There IS a work around for this (turn edged faces on and off a few times) but that gets old very quick.

i like the card but im pretty disappointed with nvidia for not working harder with their pro users.
