I don't know if conforming is the right name, but i need to fit a road and surounding area to a terrain.

Basicaly I have a large piece of road like a giant snake with UVmaps aplied and i need to let it fit a bumppy terrain, i thpought that i coul use cloth to let it fall o terrain and then freeze the object in any way if possible but some of you probably handeled something like this.

Any help here?

Thanks

May be this is what you need

http://www.studiohiro.com/

next click in Lightwave-Plugins and later in PointFit.

It's a free plugin.

If the terrain is generated procedurally via displacement, you could subdivide and displace the road using the same settings. The only problems you'll run into are if the road and terrain are tessalated differently, thus deforming with slight differences.

the Point Fit worked wonders.. i even sprayed points aroun the terrain and used it to place the points on terrain and clone trees around... thx a lot :-P

Another cool free Japanese plugin. These guys are amazing, I got the automatic UV mapping plugin from another site last week. I like the idea of using this to make quick clothing for characters.
