No crits from me! This stuff looks awesome. Really nice coloring on the second one and the first one's costume design is great! I agree with Art7sayan, post more!

Welcome! Very, very cool. Really like the greens in the first one, good expression too. Hate being harsh, but if you want crits-
I think the horn looks a bit off in the first image, a bit flat and "stuck on".
There is something wrong with the perspective on the feet on the second. Very tricky angle tho!
Your skills are much better than mine tho, just trying to help!
Keep going

one word, amazing !

The costume of the first one is great... but it doesn't really look finished. and that horn... well... looks a bit "stuck on" as fragglefart said.

I LOVE the second one, great lightning, great colors, great all.. reminds me the LAIN artwork. Great :) (why is the foot cut off ?)

and yes, post moooore :applause: :applause:

haha, her foot's cut off because that's where the paper in my sketchbook ended:P

as for the unfinished look in the first one, that was on purpose. are any of you familiar with the "fadeaway girls" that graced american magazine covers around the middle of last century? i rather like the effect^^ but ya, the horn does look rather "stuck on."

thanks^^

I think the second one is great! Since you are clearly capable of creating form, I can only assume the first one isn't finished. It is quite flat-looking by comparison.

Since you asked for crits, I notice that the shadow on the girl's behind is very stark. It almost look like the black is a pattern on the skirt rather than a shadow. I would suggest using a mid-tone to ease the transition from shadow to base colour. (and if it is a pattern then er...well done).

:p

it is a pattern^^;;;; if you'll notice just where the black/grey (as opposed to the dark red) is placed, you'll see that no one's behind is shaped like that^^;;;

Get rid of the horn in the first one and I'll buy it and hang at my wall. Really love the style.

^.^ thank you! but i'm not removing the horn:P she's in costume. there are two other images that go with her:

http://www.madhattersociety.homestead.com/files/unseen/bluedrag.jpg

the first person who can guess what each is dressed as gets a cookie:P

i made them for computer class, because we had to make a booklet using illustrator, photoshop and quark (to show we could them). it could be about ANYTHING. so, a lot of them weren't really about anything:P
