enz,
Welcome aboard! :) It would be nice if you could tell us about your art background and training. I look forward to seeing your work!
Cheers, :)

Rebeccak: Thanks for getting me to join this- I will start scanning my sketches and everything as soon as I get it set up. I have no formal training other than my freshmen year in highschool I took an art class, learned some basics but nothing much more than that. I took a small summer trip to the Art Institute of Schaumburg for a week in Game Art and Design - it was nothing more than a week at the school to try and get us to goto college there. I didn't learn anything there just met some wonderful people in the industry already. And I have taken one summer class from the store Michael's (arts and crafts store). Had an awesome teacher and learned some cool techniques from him.
Other than all that I have taught myself what I know (which isn't much) from tutorials online and a few books I have picked through.
I am going to be starting taking courses at my local community college in Design I, Drawing and Composition, and Art History III (I and II were full but it is just the timeline anyway :P). I am really excited about these classes but I have been wanting to start teaching myself more from either books or here in this community or through tutorials.
I have Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain and have downloaded the Loomis books but have yet to Start those. I really wish I knew a good beginning place to start.
I plan on sketching everyday and I will try not to rip my pages out and just take them for what they are and improve. Draw draw draw...
Hi Steven,
some nice sketches you got there esp. considering you had not too much of a formal training yet (iirc).
You can post the images inline if you paste the link to the file into the dialog box which pops up when you press the image icon (sun/mountain) in your wysiwyg-post-editor.
more comfortable to watch then.
safari wont let me choose any of the format options so heres some links to what ive been working on with the Loomis book.
