View Full Version : Poser 6 and Cinema 4D R 9.6
MartinFahrer 08-08-2006, 02:09 AM I did a search and didn't see a thread reguarding this.
I am a TV production designer. I do mostly interior architecture. I have created some characters in Poser 6 seated and standed. I wanted to add them with the poser textures (clothes and skin) into my Cinime 4D model. I don't need to animate them, but I would like the materials to important in.
Has anyone done this? What is the best way to import?

You have to use the interposer pluggin.
With the demo version you can import single models with textures.
With the full version complete animations.
good luck

You can also use the free plug-in Riptide to import your Poser models as .obj files. I work with Poser and C4D everyday and while Riptide won't do animation for you it brings in the meshes very nicely. If you are going to be doing any close up work I recommend using the basic meshes and then swapping the lo-res textures out for the hi-res one once you have the models in C4D.

Also, interposer is in beta for a new release. So stay tuned.

If you only need the pose and the plain colour textures
, then you can use the 3ds-export. The textures will be imported on the model correctly. You have to scale the model by approx. 200.
Interposer has the advantage that you can change the Pose of the figure in Poser, and seamlessly reimport the figure into C4D, without having to reposition or rescale it in your scene.
